Susan M. Dunlap, aged 74 years, passed away peacefully Friday, December 9 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis Missouri.
Susan was born on April 30, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Mary Geraldine and Richard Holmes. She was raised and lived her life in St. Louis. She worked over 20 years in the Financial Aid Office at St. Louis University and enjoyed her time there helping students realize their college aspirations. She enjoyed times with family, watching movies (especially John Wayne's westerns), and Saturdays cheering the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Her favorite past time was her mystery books. Susan's best Sunday afternoons included a rainy day, a warm cup of Earl Grey and a new murder mystery.
Susan is survived by her son John M. Dunlap, her brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Joyce Holmes of St. Louis MO, her brother and sister-in-law Donald and Dianne Holmes of Fredericksburg VA, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Ziegenehein Funeral Home (7027 Gravois Ave) on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church (309 Hoffmeister Ave. Lemay, Missouri 63125). Interment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery (1800 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
