Susan Lyn Dunlap

Susan Lyn Dunlap was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on April 30", 1955, the daughter of G.W. (Dub) and Jo Ann (Glass) Spurgeon. She was raised and received her education in Pawnee.

Susan and Dennis were married on April 8, 1971, in Jennings, OK. They made their home in Oilton for a short period of time before moving to Bartlesville, where they remained until the time of her death.

Susan loved her family and always enjoyed getting together. She faithfully attended all of her sons' sporting events and later all of her grandchildren's-she wouldn't miss them for the world.

She enjoyed fishing and especially loved lake time on her pontoon boat. Susan was also an animal lover; whenever she saw someone with a dog, she had to stop and talk to them to find out all about the animal. She even had a platoon of racoons that showed up every night for food. They trusted her and would come right up to her, and one that she named Missy would come up and gently touch hands with her. Even the racoons seemed to know how pure of heart she was.

Susan passed away Friday morning, December 26, 2025, at the age of 70 years, 8 months, and 27 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Spurgeon.

Susan is survived by her husband, Dennis, of their home in Bartlesville; her two sons, Joey and his wife, Teresa, of Wentzville, Missouri, and Jamey and his wife, Candy, of Bartlesville; her grandson Tucker Dunlap, and his wife, Kirstyn, of Tahlequah; her granddaughters, Kendyl Dunlap of Wentzville and Loni Kaufmann and her husband, Ed, of Bartlesville; and her great grandchildren, Kaydence of Tahlequah and Riley, Brooklyn, and Jackson Kaufmann of Bartlesville.
