Susan C. Eggleston, of Forest, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. She was 59 years old.
A native of Lynchburg, VA, Susan graduated from Heritage High School and Phillips Business College. She would spend the next 30 years working as a bookkeeper for various local companies prior to starting her own, C&S Business Services with coworker, Charlene Douglas. Some of Susan’s best memories were spending time at the beach, fishing, and camping.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Paul L. and Carroll O. Eggleston. She is survived by her stepson, Justin Morgan (Jenny) and grandchildren, Kelton and Sadie of Thaxton, VA. In addition, she leaves a sister Chris Carwile (Wendell) of Hardy, VA, a brother Gary Eggleston of Forest, VA, a niece Holly Puckett (James) and nephew Michael Carwile (Haley) both from Lynchburg, VA. She is also survived by friends Leonard “Slick” Morgan and Cathy Dooley both from Huddleston, VA.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, November 19, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Tharp Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with Pastor Lee Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Doorways in Richmond, VA at thedoorways.org.
