Susan Marie Evans "Sue", age 64, passed away on November 10, 2025, in Flowood, Mississippi.
Born on December 6, 1960, in Corydon Iowa, Sue was the daughter of JB Bailey and Grayce Yvonne Bailey. She graduated from Admiral Arthur W. Radford High School in Honolulu Hawaii, marking the beginning of a life defined by dedication, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family.
Sue was a devoted wife to Richard Evans and a loving mother to her children Candice Green (Mark), John Garrison, & Tara Garrison. Her family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy in spending time with them. Her warmth extended beyond her immediate family to include her brother, Jim Bailey, and sister, Dawn Myers. And many others. She also cherished the memory of her sister, Terri.
A proud grandmother, Sue delighted in the lives of her grandchildren: Walter (Bre), Waylon, Ethan, Joselyn, Bentley, Joseph, Triston, Cheyenne, Dakoda, and Lane. Her home was often filled with lots of laughter and love during family gatherings—moments she treasured deeply.
Sue had a generous spirit and a big heart that touched everyone around her. She cared deeply for her friends and coworkers and brought dedication and kindness into every role she held. She loved working and took pride in doing it well—a reflection of her strong character and work ethic.
Throughout her life, she bravely battled and overcame cancer multiple times, showing her family what true strength and perseverance look like. She was a fighter.
Those who knew Sue will remember her as someone who gave freely of herself to others. Her presence brought comfort and joy to many lives, especially those closest to her. She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed beyond measure.
May her memory bring peace to all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on November 15, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home 1360 W. Government Street Brandon, Mississippi 39042. Followed by a private graveside service for family.
