Susan Lynn Goldstein, 84, widow of Charles David Goldstein, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Born in Gary, IN, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Fox and Muriel Litt Fox.
Mrs. Goldstein was a member of Temple Sinai and worked at the Sumter County Library for 27 years, where she was able to fulfill her love for books and reading.
Surviving are a son, Marc Goldstein (Maria) of Montgomery, IL, two daughters, Julie Mayers (David) of High Point, NC and Kelly Mills of Sumter; five grandchildren, Thia (Eric), Tripp, McKenzie Gray, Phoenix and Morgan; and a sister, Caryl McCaulou of Volo, IL.
The family appreciates the community's respecting Susan's request for private mourning.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Sumter County Library.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Prisma Health and Gentiva Hospice for helping fulfill Mama's wish to come home.
