Susan Kay Haack, a beacon of light and laughter.

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our cherished mother Susan Kay Haack, who left this world peacefully on August 20 th 2025. Though she has left a void that cannot be filled, she has also left us with a legacy of memories and joy that will shine forever.

Sue always lived life to the fullest whether it be through hitchhiking to Woodstock or finding joy in life's simple moments. She was a daughter, a mother, a Wife, a pseudo-Mother, a grandmother, a niece, an aunt, a cousin, a Nurse, a violinist, a friend and, to many, a guiding light.

She had a passion dedicated to kindness and selfless love. Every day she quietly worked to bring joy to others through endless acts of kindness. She had a rare gift of making you feel seen through a listening ear, sending a card, making hand knitted wash clothes, sending a simple text to say she cared, a Facebook message to say good night, and so much more. Her boundless generosity and spirit of giving touched countless lives. She may have been tiny but she sure was mighty.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Arthur Haack, Mother June Ardell Larson and Father John Junior Larson. Sue's memory will be forever cherished by her children Gayle Nicole Haack, Adam Charles Haack (Sarah), Lucas John Haack (Rachel), Julia Ruth Jourdan (Christopher), Sister Sharon Selode (Mike), Grandchildren Zachary James Haack, Marissa Rose Hagenkord, Charles Dean Haack, Kai Jack Jourdan, Judah Roger Jourdan, Drew Verity Gaffny (Matthew), Angelique Elle Gaffny (Hector) and Great granddaughter Valery Lopez. She also leaves behind nephews, nieces and dear friends who were forever touched by her presence.
