Susan Hunt was one of those rare unicorn type people: genuinely kind, caring, thoughtful, loving. Someone you were drawn to because of her welcoming nature, shining eyes and infectious laughter. It made you happy just to be in her presence. How many people do you know who no one has a bad word to say about? That was Susan. Beloved member of our community in Barry Harbor. Everyone always had good things to say about her. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. But we are all better people for having known her.

I knew Susan when we were in grade school. My mom dropped me off at their house before school. Susan was a kind, loving person and I have a lot of memories of her and Sarah, Ken, and Kate. I ran into her one day in Maryville and was so happy to catch up. She looked exactly the same. My heart goes out to her family.

I taught with Susan at Lakeview Middle School. Her laugh is what I remember most. Hearing her get tickled made me laugh even harder. I was just thinking of her wondering how she was. Now I know she is better than ever in her new home! I know I will hear that giggle again someday! Austin and Lauren, I pray that you have comfort and peace knowing you will see her again. My prayers are with you and your family as you grieve.
