Susan L. Hunt, age 79, of Dennison, Ohio, died late Thursday night, February 19, 2026 in her sister Kathy's residence in Carrollton, Ohio.

She was born November 30, 1946 in Dennison, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Robert James Hunt, Sr. and Carrie A. (Conner) Hunt Gartrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Harry W. Gartrell, and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert J. "Bob", Jr. and Barb Hunt.

Susan had been employed as a kitchen worker for the former Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center. She also was a caregiver for several area residents and performed cleaning duties at the Leesville Fellowship Church. Susan was a 1965 graduate of Conotton Valley High School and attended Johnson Bible College. In recent years, she was a faithful member of the Sherrodsville Calvary Church. She found joy in reading daily Bible Devotions. Most recently, she discovered and started reading the Whistle Stop Cafe Mysteries Series. Her family and church were the central foundations of her life.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Kathy L. (Robert) Fell of Carrollton, OH, with whom she had resided the last eight months, six nephews, Rodney J. (Michelle) Hunt, Robert J. (Gina) Hunt, III, Nicholas (Kaley) Herron, Andrew (Ashley) Moreland, Bobby Fell and Ben Fell, a niece, Brittany Bateman two great-nieces, Boone Bateman and Scottie Herron, two great-nephews, Beckett Bateman and Vonnegut Herron and her special friend, Greyson Knapp.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 27, 2026 in the Leesville Fellowship Chapel, 90 East Market Street, Leesville, with Hospice Chaplain Dale Gruver officiating. Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery where Pastor Jerralyn Myers will conduct graveside committal services. Calling hours will be held Friday from 10:30 A.M. until time of services at 12:00 noon in the church. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
