Susan H. Lonzo

Susan H. Lonzo, age 88 of Suring, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Sue was born on November 21, 1934 to the late David and Romaine (Foral) Urban. She was raised in Mountain on Green Lake. On September 15, 1953, Sue married Gerald Lonzo Sr. The couple lived in Milwaukee while Jerry attended barber school. They then moved the family to Mountain before settling in Suring and buying the local barber shop. Sue was a loving and devoted homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed baking pies, tending to her flowers, fishing, and going to the casino.
Sue is survived by her 3 daughters, Cindy (Jim) Baur of Marinette, Kathy (Mark) Leidig of Oneida, and Carrie Lonzo of Suring; 2 sons, Chip (Toni) Lonzo of Suring and Ken Lonzo of New York; 8 grandchildren, Jenny, Joe, Katie, Steve, Alexis, Demarise, Mikey, and Matt; 7 great-grandchildren, Mason, Raelin, Beau, Gerald Lonzo IV, Olivia, Amaeliano, and Eva. She is further survived by brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; son, Steve Lonzo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Kevin Kuhn officiating. She will be interred at Mountain Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sue's honor to American Legion Post 283.
