Susan Diane Nickle, 74, passed away at her home in Huron, SD, surrounded by family and friends, and ran into the loving arms of her Savior. Cremation has taken place and no services will take place per her wishes. It is respectfully requested memorials in Susan's honor can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice. Susan was born on September 22, 1950, to Burl and Deloris Corcoran. Susan completed her education in Onida, SD. She married Duane Nickle on June 18, 2000. Their love of travel gave them many wonderful adventures. She leaves behind a legacy far greater than titles and business success. Susan made people feel important when with her. Her life was filled with service, connections, wisdom and joy and she was a mentor to many. Some who weren't born to her, still called her "Mom", drawn in by her open heart and natural embrace. She could see the good in others even when they couldn't see it in themselves. She carried burdens with grace and made space for others, even when she had little left to give. When it came to her social circle, her friendships were deep and unwavering. Whether you had known her two decades or two days, you mattered. She was the friend who never forgot your stories, showed up without being asked, and brought laughter, comfort, and her wisdom, wherever she went. Susan leaves a profound void in the hearts of many. Survivors include her husband Duane of 25 years, daughter Lori Wentz (Kelly), including grandchildren Elizabeth, Kenneth and Harrison; son Chance; and daughter Chandra and grandson Grayson; and honorary daughter Darcy. Her brother Dave Corcoran (Lori), Taylor, Dallas and Dillon; brother Steve Corcoran (Carmel) Austin and lifelong friend Patty VerDouw. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter Dana Corcoran. She will be greatly missed by many.
