Susan Lee Sambuco, 73, of Media, PA, passed away March 4, 2022.
Born July 14, 1948 in Havertown, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Edna Dorothea (nee Kiefer) Rice.
She was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. She worked at Suburban West, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, and Aloette Cosmetics/Aloecharm Cosmetics.
Susan had an artistic spirit and enjoyed painting, fashion and design, and adored shopping. She spent countless summers in Cape May, and Ocean City, NJ, with her family and friends. She was an animal lover and looked forward to seeing her children’s dogs and cats as much as seeing them. She was an ice hockey mom, supporting her son’s teams; and later her grandson’s teams. Susan was an excellent cook, serving both Greek and Italian food.
Susan was the loving mother of Joseph C. Sambuco (Alexis) and Daniel J. Sambuco (Robin); adoring “Nonni” of Nick, Phillip, Luke, Daniel, and Blair Sambuco; and dear sister of William Rice, Jr. (Carol), Judith Bagnato (Joe), and David Rice (Shirley).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by her Memorial Service at 8 PM. Interment is private.
