Susan May (Williams) Schulz, 81, a resident of North Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Jack (John) Schulz with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.
Susan was born in Westfield, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Murray J. Williams, Sr. and Marion Beatrice (Broga) Williams. She graduated from Memphis State University with a bachelor of nursing degree and worked for many years as a registered nurse.
She loved going to Otis to the cottage that has been in the Schulz family for many years and spent as much time there as she could. Sue and Jack were able to spend a summer driving in a van around the country, enjoying many of the National Parks. They were surrounded by pictures of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and were happy for any time they could spend with them. She is fondly remembered for her strength, warmth and humor.
In addition to her loving husband, Susan leaves her daughters JoAnne Godwin of Harvard, Massachusetts and Diane Leath of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; grandchildren Sarah (Godwin) White, Sam Godwin (wife Jill), Denys Godwin, Claire Leath, and Olivia Leath, and her great grandchildren Jack White, Nora White, and Roman Godwin.
She is predeceased by her siblings Jack Williams, Elsie Strong, and Janice Morin. Her surviving sibling is Karen Martin; brothers-in-law Bob Schulz (wife Jill) and Don Schulz, and many nieces and nephews as well. She is also predeceased by her son-in-law Gregory Leath and sister-in-law Gloria Schulz.
Memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to The Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
