Susan Elaine Sheppard

August 30, 1052 – March 25, 2026

Susan Elaine Sheppard, born on August 30, 1952, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a life filled with love for her family.

Susan is survived by her husband Harry Dean Sheppard; her daughter, Deana, and son-in-law Rick; her beloved grandchildren, Cody, Matthew and Katelyn; her sisters, Evelyn and Carole; and her brothers, Ronnie and Norman.

Susan had a gentle, loving spirit and a heart deeply rooted in family. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved.

In her younger years. Susan had a deep passion for horses. As a member of the Arizona State Horseman's Association, she could often be found riding in gymkhanas, grand entries, parades and trail rides – moments that brought her great joy and freedom.

She also had a special love for animals, especially the many dogs lucky enough to be part of her life. Being a "dog mama" was something she embraced wholeheartedly.

One of Susan's favorite places was San Diego, where she found peace by the ocean. The sound of the waves and the coastal breeze brought her a sense of calm and happiness that stayed with her always.

Susan is now reunited with her beloved son, Mike, whom she carried in her heart every day since his passing. Their bond was unbreakable, and we find comfort in knowing they are together again.

Susan's legacy is one of love, gentleness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She was deeply loved, and that love will remain with us always.
