Susan Lindsey Sherrill

Susan Lindsey Sherrill of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 66, surrounded by her family. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Rhena Lindsey and step-son, Scott Sherrill. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Parker Sherrill, son, Michael Tuck (Mary). daughter, Renee Tuck, grandchildren, Reagan, Lizzy, Kyla, Jackson, Brenden, and Sebastian. step-sons, Rob Sherrill (Kristy), Derrick Harris (Melisa), daughter-in-law, Bri Sherrill, brother, Robert Lindsey (Janet) of Arlington, TN, three nephews, sister-in-law, Margaret Ruof.
Susan was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and then eventually moved to Nashville in 1992. Susan went back to school later in life and attended Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee State University, where she received her degree in Occupational Therapy. After graduation, she worked as an Occupational Therapist at Centennial Medical Center and then went on to obtain her Advanced Certification in Lymphedema, which she was extremely passionate about and specialized in for the remainder of her career. She was a dedicated supporter of St. Lukes Community House and volunteered her time over the years.
Susan cherished her family and friends, and loved spending time with them both in Nashville and at their lake house. She loved to travel and experience new things along her journey. Susan had a beautiful spirit that was contagious and left a lasting impression on anyone she ever met. She was a loving wife and an amazing mother and grandmother, as well as a caring and loyal friend and will be forever missed by so many.
The family is sincerely grateful to the doctors and staff at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center for their care and support over the past years. Donations in Susan's memory can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in Winchester, Tennessee or Gilda's Club Middle Tennessee (an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community). A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
