Susan D. Spaugh of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, December 5, 2025. Susan was born in North Carolina and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church and volunteered at Gibsontown Ministries. Susan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Nana.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Martha Medlin; son, Richard Brad Spaugh; two brothers, Martin and James Medlin.
Survivors include her husband, Art Spaugh; children, Kevin Spaugh and wife, Brandy, Jennifer Reneau and husband, Chris; five grandchildren, Matthew Spaugh, Katie Reneau, Bree Reneau, Noah Spaugh, Jonah Spaugh; one great-granddaughter, Phoebe Spaugh; siblings, Shirley Mendenhall and husband, David and Kathy Wells and husband, Ronnie; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Indian Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Rayburn officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral services.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Blountville.
