Susan "Suzie" Elizabeth (Sharp) St. Dennis
Age 73, died peacefully August 16, 2023, in home hospice from the effects of Huntington's Disease. She was born in Minneapolis on Nov. 4, 1949, and grew up in Richfield and South Minneapolis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis and Irving Sharp, and her brother, Steven Sharp.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald O. St. Dennis, sons Patrick Otis (Megan), Mark James (Dr. Tracy), adoring grandchildren Lillian, Charles, Lucille, and Violet, sister Anne, brothers James, William, and Thomas.
Susan was graduated from Washburn High School in 1967, and attended the University of Minnesota where she studied home economics and family social science. She retired after 25 years at Target Corp. where she worked a variety of jobs but her most special position was in the Target Test Kitchen, where she supported the development of private label food brands such as Market Pantry and Archer Farms.
She met her husband Don at the Roundhouse Coffee kiosk on the fifth floor of Dayton's Department Store. They were married in Ft. Huachuca, AZ in 1970. They lived there and at Ft. Lewis, WA before and after Don's tour in Vietnam. After Don's service, they lived in North Minneapolis, Duluth, Shoreview and most recently in Roseville, MN. She had many fun adventures traveling, beginning with backpacking across Europe during college, many trips to the North Shore and around the USA, as well as foreign trips to Ireland, England, and France. She loved to cook, read, and watch mysteries.
Visitation Friday August 25, from 1-3PM at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave. N., with Memorial Service beginning at 3PM. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Huntington's Disease Society of America HDSA.org
