Susan "Sue" Lee Cruz, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 28, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on March 22, 1956.
Sue dedicated 31 years of her career as the Department Manager at K-Mart, and upon retiring, she continued to contribute her skills at Rouses for a decade.
A Mississippi native, Sue was known for her vibrant personality and love for spending time with family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She maintained close ties with her sons and valued the relationships she nurtured with friends and former co-workers. Fond memories of times gone by brought her joy, as she often reminisced about her life’s journey.
Sue is survived by her two sons, Timothy Goss and Tyler Cruz; her grandchildren, Madison Goss, Brendon Hilton, TJ Hilton, and Charlotte Cruz; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mattie Edwards; and her sisters, Cheryl Griffin and Bonnie Edwards.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at SAAD Home Health, Memorial Oncology, and Radiation Oncology Group for the compassionate care Susan received during her final days.
Services in honor of Susan "Sue" Lee Cruz will be held at Riemann Family Funeral Home - Gulfport. Visitation will take place on September 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on September 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Beulah Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.
