Susan “Sue” Ames Wood Eddleman, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on August 30, 2025.
Sue was born on November 10, 1942, and grew up in California. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1961. On June 30, 1962, she married Warren Anthony Ranker, and together they had two children, Ryan and Robyn. After their divorce in 1981, Sue later married Rod Eddleman on September 22, 1984, in Fullerton, California.
Sue worked as a front office receptionist for New York Life for 20 years, retiring in July 2001. She was known for her warm and welcoming presence in the workplace and in her community.
Beyond her career, Sue was deeply creative and enjoyed many artistic pursuits. She loved playing guitar and singing, painting, designing costumes, and creating her beloved annual Christmas cards that family and friends eagerly awaited each year.
Sue is survived by her son, Ryan Ranker; her daughter, Robyn Julian; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She will be remembered with love and gratitude by her family and all who knew her.
