Susan Shea Thomas, age 75, of Amherst, MA, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.
Susan, affectionately known as Rosie, was the precious daughter of Michael Shea and Doris Driscoll Shea, who preceded her in death. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Oommen Thomas (Sushil), in the heavenly realm.
Susan is survived by her sister Deborah Shea; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Abraham and Susan Thomas, along with their husbands Abraham Thomas and Mathew Abraham; nephews Philip Abraham and Thomas Abraham, along with Thomas's wife Divya and their children Caleb and Kaiden; nieces Sereena Abraham and Sarah Pastrnak, along with Sarah's husband James and their children Lily, Isabella, and Daniel.
A die-hard NASCAR fan and avid Bob Dylan concert attendee, Susan embraced life to the fullest. She had a deep love for animals and never said no to ice cream or a beach day. Susan and Sushil were blessed with a love story for the ages. Though they faced challenges, they faced them together, always finding strength in each other. As Bob Dylan wisely sang, "If you want to keep your memories, you first have to live them." Susan truly lived her life to the fullest, creating countless treasured memories.
Throughout her life, Susan touched many hearts. She was deeply supported in her fight against cancer by her loving and caring neighbors, friends, and family. She expressed her gratitude to all who patiently cared for and supported her through prayers and friendship.
Susan will be profoundly missed. She now rests in peace in her eternal home under the shadow of God's Almighty Wings.
