Susan "Susie" Wolfgram, born on January 8, 1959, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage 4 COPD. She was 66 years old.
Susie was the very definition of a woman who lived life to the fullest. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unbreakable, and her love for family and friends boundless. To know Susie was to experience joy, humor, and a little bit of wild fun-because with Susie, you knew you were always in for a crazy time!
Born to Darlene and Harvey Klemm, Susie joined her sisters Patricia (Patti) and Julie (Gayle) in a loving family that grew and evolved over the years. After her mother's untimely passing, Susie welcomed her stepmother, Lorraine, and siblings Greg, Cindy, Harvey, and Michele into her heart and life. Family always came first for Susie, no matter where life took her.
Susie made her home in Florida, where she enjoyed a fulfilling career in the hospitality industry. Though she loved her Florida life, she cherished every opportunity to return to Chicago to spend time with her family-catching up, reminiscing, and creating new memories.
Her lively spirit and quick wit made her truly unforgettable, bringing laughter (and her trademark sarcasm) wherever she went.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Darlene, Harvey, and Lorraine Klemm, and her sisters, Gayle Macias and Cindy Smith.
Susie is survived by her siblings Patti (Jerry), Greg, Harvey (Julie), and Michele (Rick); brothers-in-law BB Macias and Tom Smith; nieces and nephews BJ (Cheree) Macias, Ashley (Drew) Piper, Brandon (Amy) Macias, Melonie (Dan) Mateja, Daniel (Ashlie) McCauley, Scott (Maeghan) McCauley, Charlie, Justin, and Molly Campbell, and Sam and Jackson Smith; and 21 great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind many dear friends who were like family to her.
Susie will be remembered for her big heart, her adventurous spirit, and her ability to bring laughter wherever she went. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
There will be no celebration of life at this time, but in true Susie fashion, we invite you to crack open a cold one, share a laugh, and remember the good times you had with her. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Susan, please visit our floral store.
