Susan Lynn Workman, age 61, of Morley, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the compassionate care of Corewell Health Hospice.
Susan was born on March 9, 1964, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Kenneth and Renee (Patt) Grundy. She was a 1982 graduate of Kelloggsville High School. On December 10, 1999, she married the love of her life, Jeffery Lynn Workman, and together they shared more than 26 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Susan dedicated 22 years of service as a transportation secretary for Tri-County Area Schools before retiring. Outside of work, she found joy in tending to her beautiful flower gardens, crafting, and bird-watching. For many years, Susan and Jeff enjoyed camping near Hardy Dam and spending time boating on the Muskegon River. They also cherished sharing winters in Ruskin, Florida, where they built lasting friendships and memories with their Ruskin family and friends.
Above all else, Susan treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of her life.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Renee Grundy; her father-in-law, James Workman; and her beloved son, Tyler Workman.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Workman; her children, Joe Miles (Keegan), Brandi Miles and her children Jordan and Parker Sue, Travis and Kelly Workman and their children Ava, Wyatt, and Elsie; her siblings, Jerry and Cindy Grundy, Theresa (Mitch) Neil, Karen (Trace) Reminga, Nancy and Tom Stortz, Pat and Maria Grundy, and Chris and Yolanda Grundy; her mother-in-law, Jean Workman; and her dear friend and faithful neighbor, Mary (Dave) Engelsman, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Susan will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 (9596 Reed Road, Howard City). Burial will take place privately in the spring at Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
