Norma Miller (née Cederquist), age 74, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Stanton, Michigan. Born on November 4, 1951, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Norma lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and unwavering faith.

A proud graduate of Tri County High School in the Class of 1969, Norma went on to complete her certification as a Certified Elderly Nursing Assistant (CENA). Though she held many jobs throughout her life, it was her role as a CENA that truly captured her heart. For 34 years, she served with dedication and care at Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview, Michigan. Her work touched countless lives and reflected the deep empathy and kindness that defined her character.

Norma was a devoted mother to her three children: daughters, Gretchen Miller and Shannon (Wayne Jr.) Cooley, and son, David (Sarah) Miller. She cherished her grandchildren—Dylon, Zoe, Trenten, Sophie, Kamryn, Abigail, Evelyn, Liam, and Moss—and found immense joy in watching them grow.

She is also remembered with love by her siblings: Karen Hoisington, Theresa Larson, Shirley Gerred, Dale (Kim) Cederquist, and Paul Cederquist. Her extended family includes many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were dear to her heart. Norma shared a special bond with her best friends, Candy Boden and Peggy & Den Cox—relationships that brought laughter and comfort throughout the years. Lastly her faithful companion Shelby, a German Shepard with the same stubbornness as Norma

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan Cederquist and Josephine Misek-Cederquist, as well as a baby she lost before birth—a soul she always held close in spirit.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Norma read the Bible daily and found new inspiration each time she opened its pages. She believed wholeheartedly in the promise of Heaven and carried Jesus in her heart throughout every chapter of her life. Her FAITH in Jesus Christ her Lord and savior was not only personal but something she wished for everyone—to know God’s love as she did.

Norma had a curious mind and an adventurous spirit. She once took a private investigation class and enjoyed delving into crime stories with enthusiasm. Her sense of humor was infectious; she loved to laugh and had a unique way of spreading joy wherever she went. While she had her quirks—as all bright souls do—she was kind-hearted to those who treated her with kindness in return.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where the memorial service celebrating Norma’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Her nephew, the Rev. Brian Cederquist, will officiate. Wear what you like. Our Mom loved colorful things and smiley faces.

Norma’s legacy is one of love—fierce for her family, generous to friends both old and new—and faith that never wavered. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her and may we carry forward the light she so freely gave.
