Susan Yarrow

1947 - 2025

On February 23, 2025, Susan Charak Yarrow of Silver Spring, MD, passed away at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Sheppard Yarrow; devoted mother of Eric (Jennifer) Yarrow and Roger (Stacy) Yarrow; cherished nana of Emersyn, Tyler, and Kaiya. Susan was born in Malden, MA, in 1947 and moved to the Washington, D.C. area after high school, building a career as an executive assistant with the federal government, Bechtel, and Aronson & Associates. Later in life, she found joy in traveling to visit her grandchildren and spending time with her husband, Sheppard. She had a deep love for Broadway shows, a good cup of tea, and all things British. A passionate family historian, she enjoyed researching and preserving her ancestry. She also loved playing cribbage and Mahjong and was an active member of her community, where she made many cherished friends. She will be laid to rest on Thursday at 12 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens in Olney, MD, where she will be reunited with her husband. Shiva will be private.
