Susanne Lorraine Nicolazzo, 79, of Verona, New Jersey died peacefully in her sleep on September 27, 2024. Susanne was the daughter of Hannah (Svenson) Johnson and Evald Johnson, and sister to Walter Johnson, all who have passed before her.
Susanne enjoyed a wonderful childhood in Verona, NJ and had many friendships she maintained until the end of her life. Susanne went on to attend Lasell Junior College in Newton, MA. She had an enjoyable college experience and was even "President of her Class" during her time there. It was in Newton that Susanne met Victor Nicolazzo Jr whom she later married and had two children with and later divorced. Susanne is survived by her children Victor "Nick" Nicolazzo III (56) and Lisa Hart (54), both of Wellesley, MA, and her former husband Victor Nicolazzo Jr. Susanne is also survived by her four grandchildren Meghan (24), Anderson (21), Nick IV (18) and Brendan (16). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jay Johnson and nephews from Verona, NJ.
Susanne enjoyed being a stay at home mom during her children's school years, spending many summers on Lake Winnipesaukee while also enjoying golfing, gardening, and needlepointing. As her children became adults, Susanne studied for and acquired her real estate license. Susanne enjoyed a successful real estate career for many years thanks in no small part to her kind personality and her passion for real estate. But more than anything else she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.
Susanne battled Parkinson's Disease for many years with grace and dignity. She never complained and was grateful for her visits and calls from friends and family. She was smiling and walking until the end of her life and for that we are eternally grateful. We will miss her very much.
Burial will be private and there will be a Celebration of Life in the Spring. In lieu of flowers we welcome any donations to go her favorite charity, the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
