Funeral Service for Susie Bray will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Brownfield Church of Christ, with Mike McDonald officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Susie was born on November 21, 1955, in Lamesa, TX, to Aubrey Earl and Earnestine Madding. She passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 69.
A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Susie embarked on a fulfilling career as a State Farm Insurance agent in Brownfield, TX, where she served her clients with sincerity and diligence for 34 years. She retired just last year, leaving behind a legacy of trust, expertise, and personal connections that enriched the lives of many.
Susie’s love for her family was boundless. On June 15, 1979, she married the love of her life, Dan Bray, with whom she shared countless cherished memories and adventures. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering support for each other and their loved ones.
Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Earnestine Madding, and brother, Kenneth Madding. She is survived by her husband, Dan Bray; children, Kirk Bray and Callie Allen, and Kyle Bray and Amanda; grandchildren, Connor and Luke Bray; father, Aubrey Earl Madding; and sisters, Carolyn Nelson and husband Wayne, and Arlene Mears and husband Bob.
