William Bray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Georgia Cremation - Fayetteville on Mar. 19, 2026.
William Donald Bray
July 12, 1949 – March 16, 2026

William Donald Bray, a beloved father, brother, and devoted family man, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 76.

Don was born on July 12, 1949 to William and Mary Bray in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout his life, Don took pleasure in a variety of activities and pursuits. He was a fan of classic cars and would often go to car shows and watch classic car auctions on TV. He also owned muscle cars in his former years, and desired to one day own a restored '57 Chevy. He was an avid traveler, always ready to set out on adventures near and far, and he found similar joy in reading, which offered another way to explore the world. He also had a love for animals, which was evident in the gentle care he gave his beloved cats, doting on them as cherished members of the family. Vegetable gardening was another of his favorite pastimes, and he would often enjoy eating homegrown tomatoes.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Bray, his parents, William and Mary Bray, his brother, Larry Bray, and his sister, Sarah Bray Drinnon.

Don is survived by his stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Patrick and Kerstin Sheppard; stepson, Adam Sheppard; brother, Alan Bray; nephew, Patrick Parker; niece, Michelle Tidwell; and other extended family members.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Bray will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at Bethany Methodist Church, 607 Rivers Road, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
