Elder Susie Belle Crisp (A.K.A Sue Bell) was born on June 5th, 1949 in Macon, Mississippi. Susie rested peacefully in God's hands on Friday, October 17th, 2025 at the age of 76. Her parents are Salter Goodwin and Lucy Goodwin whom both parents preceded her in death.

Susie has 9 siblings: Betty Warren, (Clark Warren) Vera Mitchelle, Florence Haynes, (Simon Haynes) George Goodwin, (Nina Goodwin) Leon Goodwin, Anthony Beamon, Aretha Moye, and Roberta Winston.

Susie loved and married Fredell Crisp November 25th, 1989. He departed this life in 2015.

Susie moved to the Southend as a little girl and attended Dunbar Elementary School, Lansdowne Middle School and graduated from Lincoln Senior High School in 1967.

She spoke highly of the schools she attended and never forgot to mention that she was on the drill team at Lincoln.

Susie started working immediately after high school at Christian Welfare Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, Touchette Regional and Cardinal Glennon Hospital where she retired as a Central Service Technician. She was extremely proud of her accomplishments.

Susie gave her life over to the Lord at a very young age, but she was all in when she recommitted herself as an adult. From that point on all we know is saved Susie. She honed in and held tight to the word of God.

Susie later joined Edgemont Church of God where she sung in the choir, lead many solos, taught Sunday School, and mentored others. She has been blessed to witness the baptism of her children and grandchildren. Susie obtained an Associate Degree in Theology, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology, and finally a Master Degree in Theology from Metropolitan Christian Bible Institute out of Advantage College in Modesto, CA and became an Ordained Elder at the Edgemont Church of God out of Anderson, IN.

Susie was family oriented and was like a mother to most. She helped raise nieces, nephews and neighbors with what little she had. But most importantly she had plenty of love to share. Susie was funny, kind hearted, a hard working church going lady who knew how to cook and sing.

Susie leaves behind: three children, Lidell Hall Jr. (Kimberly Nash-Hall), Danielle Tate (Toriano Tate) and Juanae Hall; 10 grandchildren, Monte' Hall, London Hall, Samara Hall, Simone Hall, Jahri Miller, Andre'a, Kirkpatrick, Marlon Hall, Marcus Hall, Ahmaud Hall, and Deoana Hall; two great-grandchildren, Mozell Hall and Tory Hall and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
