Mary Frances Crisp

Mary Frances Crisp, age 94, of Burnsville, passed away at her home on Monday, November 17th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Crisp; son, Steve Crisp; daughter, Gail Crisp; and a son-in-law, Chuck Renfro.
Frances and Joe were former owners of the Burnsville Restaurant and members of West Burnsville Baptist Church. Frances loved to decorate her house for holidays, especially Christmas, and always had her table set for every occasion. Nana, as known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was a talented pianist and continued to play up until the time of her death. She was a loving mother of five whose house was full of love and laughter. The Crisp household was always the place to gather for sleigh-riding parties, birthday parties, Halloween parties, homemade ice cream, or just a neighborhood game of kick-the-can.
Surviving are her daughters: Janet Crisp-Lacy (Richard) of Wilmington, Sharon Renfro of Spruce Pine, and Mary Bennett (Bob) of Reidsville; twelve grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will be receiving friends at the home.
