Susie Jordan Mullins, 54, of Albany, GA, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the Willson Hospice House. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Northgate Presbyterian Church.

Born in North Aurora, IL, Susie moved with her family to Albany in 1978. She was a 1988 graduate of Albany High School where she participated in band and was Miss AHS 1988. Following high school, Susie moved to Atlanta where she earned her Bachelors in Accounting from Georgia State University and began her career in accounting at Price Waterhouse in Atlanta, GA. She also worked at Peat Marwick (KPMG), then Coopers and Lybrand (PWC) and Meyer Electric after marrying and moving to Birmingham, AL. She stepped away from accounting to be a full-time mother to her three children. In 2018, Susie returned to Albany where she picked up her accounting career working with F&W Forestry.

Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Janice J. Jordan. Survivors include her children, Lydia Mullins, Andrew Mullins, Clayton Mullins, grandchildren, Elijah Mullins, Sampson Mullins, father Ed Jordan, sisters Christine Hogan (Michael), Julie Hamby (John), and a number of nieces and nephews.

Susie was a fighter who faced her fair share of challenges including beating mesothelioma earlier in life before years of battling pancreatic cancer. She was a devoted mom who enjoyed organizing sports, language, music, and science activities for her children to participate in throughout their younger years. In recent years, she enjoyed traveling to see her children and grandkids and spending time with her dog Cowboy. She was an accomplished musician who at various times played piano, violin, drums, and harp. In healthier days, she loved to run, garden, do craft projects with friends. Susie was known for her smile and her gift of gab, as she could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. She was a caring friend who would listen to problems and spend time researching them to recommend solutions. Susie was a courageous person who never lost her positive attitude and faith in Christ. In the end, she knew the love and care of her family and church community.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, at 10:30am, at Northgate Presbyterian Church.
