Suzan Linda (Lodge) Gotch, 75, of East Hampton, beloved wife James A. Gotch passed away peacefully at her home on Friday January 10th after a five-year battle with Alzheimers. James and her daughter Elizabeth held her hand as she went to join Jesus. Born February 15, 1949 in Philippi, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Patricia Mazurek and John Lodge. Suzan worked for Aetna for 20 years and retired from The Hartford in 2013.
As a working mother, she earned her associate's degree in business administration at Middlesex Community College in 1993.
She was an avid reader who loved spending time with family and friends. She was generous with her heart and gave of herself with deeds small and large to loved ones and strangers alike. Becoming a member of the Red Cross Disaster Relief team in her retirement, she responded to numerous local fires, Hurricane Matthew in South Carolina and Sandy Hook.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, James Alan Gotch. Her siblings Deborah, Michelle, Johnna and Mark. Her daughter Elizabeth Katzmaier (David) of Long Island, daughter Michele Cone (Rod) of Lebanon, son Jim Cole (Angel) of West Virginia, and eight grandchildren Shane, Jordyn, Danielle, Elsie, Addison, Anna, Ella, and Max.
Suzan's humor, smiling face, and the joy she brought will be missed by all who knew her.

Al, Beth and family, we are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. Susan was a beautiful person, with a beautiful sole. I have so many memories of all the times we spent with our Pratt family. You were so loving, kind, funny and unpredictable. I remember our Pictionary nights at your home they were so fun and crazy. The picture of Zeke that you gave to John, we all know how fond Zeke was of him. I know how much you loved pigs, and the time you took my brass pig and put it under your shirt. I wish now that I would have given it to you. I´ll never forget the apple pie you made for Elaine´s dinner party. We all gave you a hard time, but you know that we all loved you so very much. You had the most beautiful smile, and I will never forget your laughter and you joy for life. We will all miss you so much. You will live in my wonderful memories that I will always treasure in my heart. Rest in peace Susan. Love you so much.
