Suzann M. Guerra

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzann M. Guerra on November 28, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on October 13, 1947, in Rochester, NY, Suzann spent her life surrounded by family and community, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, dedication, and service.

Suzann, who devoted her career to civil service as a secretary for the Town of Gates in Rochester, was known for her unwavering commitment to helping others. Her work ethic and ability to connect with people made a lasting impact in her workplace and throughout the community. She approached her duties with diligence and was admired by colleagues and friends alike. Suzann loved to go to casinos, play scratch-offs and displaying her creativity through arts & crafts. She had two lifelong friends from high school, her "chosen sisters", Kathy & Nancy. Her friendships grew during her time living in the Villages at Unity.

Suzann enjoyed music, TV shows and classic movies. A proud mother and loving grandmother, Suzann is survived by her treasured daughters, Chris Durant and Jen (Kendra Leonard) Bubel, along with their families. She will be deeply missed by her son-in-law Kevin Durant and her beloved grandchildren, Nathan and Bella Durant, and Jocelyn Leonard. Suzann also leaves behind her beloved brothers-Art, Tom, Mike, and Ed Mandara-and their wives, Eileen, Laura, Tristen, and Kara, and her brother-in-law, Robert (Ruth) Guerra who cherished her deeply.

Suzann's life was filled with the warmth of family gatherings, laughter, and countless cherished moments. A devoted sister, she shared a special bond with her brothers, which was evident throughout her life and will be remembered fondly.

A public visitation will be held to honor Suzann's life at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane on December 11, 2025, from 4:00-7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 12, at 10 AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd. Interment in Holy Ghost Cemetery. I´m deeply sorry for your loss. Sue and I went to St Agnes High School together. Although I didn´t see her often, I always remember her kindness and friendship to all.
