Suzanne "Suzie" Barnhill was born on March 25, 1949 in Florence, Alabama, the daughter of the late Burnice William and Grace Christine Linam Barnhill. 

Suzie graduated from Hardin County High School in 1967 and later received her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee. She was a proud UT Alumna and enjoyed cheering on UT boys and girls. She retired as a manager for the IRS after 46 years of employment there. Suzie enjoyed taking pictures, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of Barnhill Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.

Suzanne "Suzie" Barnhill departed this life on February 8, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

She is survived by her nephews, Keith Barnhill of Savannah, Tennessee, Doug Barnhill of Adamsville, Tennessee, Greg Barnhill of Savannah, Tennessee, Chris Barnhill of Huntland, Tennessee, and Ricky Barnhill of Alamo, Tennessee; great nieces, Amanda Terry of Clarksville, Tennessee, Julie Orth of Hazel Green, Alabama, Sarah Franks of Savannah, Tennessee, and Christine Cotner of Michie, Tennessee; great nephews, Andrew Barnhill of Toney, Alabama, Will Barnhill of Friendship, Tennessee, Wes Barnhill of Gadsden, Tennessee, Wade Barnhill of Alamo, Tennessee, and John Barnhill of Huntland, Tennessee; great great nieces and nephews, Laney Franks, Abram Franks, Olive Franks, Carter Jackson, Gracie Jackson, Camden Boney, Landen Cotner, and Clay Barnhill; sister-in-law, Barbara Barnhill; God-Children, Stephanie Barrier and Wesley Linam; and lifelong friends, Laura Shaw, David Linam, and Lynette Linam.

In addition to her parents, Suzie was preceded in death by her brothers, Dan William Barnhill and Jerry Wayne Barnhill; sister-in-law, Rita Austin Barnhill; and her life partner, Jack Martin.

Memorial Donations may be made to Barnhill Methodist Church or Love & Truth Church.
