Suzanne Louise Beitelschies, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion. Born on March 3, 1939, in Jackson, Michigan, Suzanne was the daughter of Carter and Grace Winn. She and her four siblings shared a deep love for one another and for laughter. She leaves behind her brothers Carter (Patty) Winn and Charles (Brenda) Winn.
She was preceded in death by her and David's parents, her sister Gail Goodwin, her sister and brother-in-law Don and Janice Blink, their daughter Debbie, her brother and sister-in-law Dick and Jean Beitelschies and her precious grandson Kaden Roberts.
In 1959, Suzanne married the love of her life, David Beitelschies. Together, they shared 66 years of marriage, building a life rooted in devotion, hard work, and family. Their union was blessed with three children: Julie (David) Roberts, Wade (Kathy) Beitelschies, and Amber (Bill) McKee, each of whom carry forward her spirit.
Suzanne's greatest joy came from her role as a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren: Tyler (Marisa) Sutherland, Lucas (Sabrina) Beitelschies, Garrett Beitelschies, Heather (Rob) Thompson, Brandon Cavender, Kohl (Brooke) Roberts, Austin (Heather) Swaenepoel, and Britt (Emma) Swaenepoel. Her love for them was boundless, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and lives. She treasured her great-grandchildren; Bryson, Lydia, Rosson, Owen, Graham, Blair, Rhen, and Sofia.
Suzanne's memory will also be cherished by her many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Suzanne was fiercely independent and deeply empathetic, qualities that defined her life and relationships. She began her career at a young age, working at Field's Department Store, Michigan Bell, Ryerson & Haynes, and The People's Food Co-op, among others. Her dedication and work ethic were evident in every role she undertook.
A true lover of nature, Suzanne found solace and happiness on her farm, surrounded by animals and the beauty of the land. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Suzanne's life was a testament to strength, kindness, and the enduring power of family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Suzanne's life will be held in the spring, with the date and time to be determined.

I have known Suzie ever since Helmer Elementary School. She was always smiling and fun to be around. Whenever I was in touch later in life, it was as if no time had passed. Condolences to her family and many friends!
