Suzanne Chambers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 6, 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Chambers, lovingly known as Suzie, who passed away peacefully at home in Spring Valley on January 2, 2026, at the age of 78, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband of 37 years, Bob Chambers, and her daughter, Marsi and stepdaughter, Charlotte.

Suzie was born in Seattle and made San Diego her home in the 1970s, often saying, "Why would anyone leave San Diego?" She was a trailblazer at the Otay Water District, the first female executive, and later devoted much of her time to community service, volunteering with the Water Conservation Garden, the Rancho San Diego Friends of the Library, and the Over the Hill Gang Car Club.

Above all else, Suzie was kind, brave, and deeply loving. She is survived by her husband Bob; her daughters Marsi and Charlotte; her grandsons Nathan and Nicholas Haney; and her sisters Terri, Kim, and Lynn. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
