Suzanne "Susie" Elliott, 86, of Decatur, IN passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Adams Woodcrest. Suzanne was born on August 10, 1938, in Decatur, IN, the only child of the late Hugh A. and Jeanette J. (Clark) Holthouse. On October 20, 1962, Suzanne married Larry R. Elliott. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2020.
She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, and was a member of the Rosary Society. She was a 1956 graduate of Decatur Catholic High School.
Susie was a homemaker and worked for several years for the Adams County Clerk's Office.
She was a past member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Elks Lodge 993, and the American Legion Adams Post 43 Auxiliary.
Susie is survived by a son, Steven F. (Michelle) Elliott of Ann Arbor, MI; 2 daughters, Laurie A. (Carl) Smith of Midland, MI and Pam K. Elliott of Eagle, CO; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa (Adam) Zapata, Kelsey (Colin) Kanzari, Nick (Kait) Smith and Jake Elliott; 3 great grandchildren; Valerie Zapata, Joaquin Zapata and Santana Zapata.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with visitation prior from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the St. Mary's Parish Hall.
Father David Ruppert will be presiding and burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to ASPCA Allen County, PAWS of Adams County, or The Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
