Suzanne Marie Gregoire
*September 16, 1971 – June 2, 2025*
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Suzanne Marie Gregoire. At the age of 53, Suzanne peacefully passed away on June 2, 2025, surrounded by her family, following a courageous four-year battle with colon cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband, Saul Reyes; her beloved children, Robert and Danielle; her devoted parents, Renald and Lucie Gregoire; and her cherished brothers, Darren and Marc Gregoire.
Born in California on September 16, 1971, Suzanne spent her formative years in Claremont, California, where she attended Our Lady of the Ascension Catholic elementary school, followed by St. Lucy's Priory High School. Suzanne completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and received her law degree from UCLA Law School where she met her soulmate, Saul. Upon graduating from law school, Suzanne and Saul moved to Orange County where Suzanne worked as a family law attorney in Orange County for 27 years and subsequently as a family law mediator. Suzanne and Saul settled in Rancho Santa Margarita.
Above all, Suzanne cherished her role as a devoted mother to her two incredible children, Robert and Danielle. Her unwavering support was evident as she joyfully volunteered for Robert's and Danielle's schools, sports and activities such as class mom, chaperone, theater parent volunteer, team mom, coach, scorekeeper, and many other roles. Suzanne loved being there for Robert and Danielle for whatever they could possibly need. She also had a close relationship with her parents, Ron and Lucie and her brothers, Marc and Darren as well as her uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Suzanne loved to cook and bake for family and get-togethers. She especially loved to cook for one of her favorite days of the year–the Oscars. Suzanne typically cooked twelve to fifteen dishes based on new recipes each annual Oscar's get-together with family.
She also created a tapestry of cherished connections with a big circle of friends from high school, college, the neighborhood, her work, book clubs, her bunco group, and moms from the kids' schools. She greatly appreciated and was humbled by the tremendous support she received from her generous friends during her cancer battle.
Suzanne loved baseball and was a big Angels and Dodgers fan. She loved music, especially her all-time favorite singer Lionel Richie and her favorite band U2. When she gets to heaven, there is no doubt she will ask God, "Hello, is it me you're looking for?"
In remembrance of Suzanne's vibrant spirit, family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life during a Vigil at O'Connor Mortuary, which will take place on June 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM. This will be followed by a heartfelt Funeral Mass at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM followed by a reception. As we come together to share stories, laughter, and tears, we will honor the loving memories, and the lasting impact Suzanne made in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in Suzanne's memory to the
American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) and/or Cancer Research Institute (www.cancerresearch.org), reflecting her spirit of giving and compassion.
