Suzanne E. Hatch, 88, passed away unexpectedly at her home on New Year's Eve, with family at her side. Born August 11, 1937, in Altoona, to the late James and Katharyne (Sell) Boland. She is survived by her children, Eileen Williams (Gary), Randy Hatch (Judy), and Dave Hatch (Sherry); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Edwin (Ned) Hatch; their beloved son, John Hatch; and her four older sisters, Shirley Carter, Donna Broyles, Nancy Mills, and Kitty Carles. Sue lived simply, but loved deeply, always putting God first. Whether she was gardening or doing puzzles, her Chihuahua, Snoopy, could always be found by her side. She was the happiest when surrounded by family, especially during her annual Christmas in July party. In lieu of sending flowers, please plant one in memory of her this spring. Donations may be made to your local food bank or to St. Judes Research Hospital would also make her smile. "As we enter this new year, we carry their love with us into a new day, filled with the gratitude for the time we shared." A celebration of Suzanne’s life gathering will take place on a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 118 Rosehill Cemetery Dr., Altoona, PA 16602. Condolences may be made at RoseHillFuneralCare.com.
