Suzanne J. Higgins

Suzanne J. Higgins, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Residence at Freeman Lake surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Bennington, Vermont on March 24,1938, and was the daughter of the late Roland and Lucy (Betit) Longtin.

She was a perfect homemaker who kept an immaculate home. She loved to clean and decorate, cook and bake. She was a wonderful seamstress who could sew anything from curtains to clothes. She also had a talent for drawing and painting.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Donald H Higgins and 3 brothers Edward Longtin, John Longtin, and Dennis Longtin.

She is survived by her four children Cheryl A. Cayer of Woodstock, CT, Kevin D Higgins of Chelmsford, Mark E. Higgins and his wife Julie Shokum of Chelmsford, and Timothy T. Higgins and his wife Valerie Higgins of Lowell; 7 beloved grandchildren and 5 beloved great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two loving sisters Christine Daigneault of Bennington, VT, and Adrienne Yanny of Allentown, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral services and interment will be held privately.
