Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Mar. 31, 2026.
Suzanne L. Hoblit passed away March 29th, 2026. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on December 12, 1934, to William and Bessie (Cole) Loffer. She was one of 9 children, two of which were lost in childhood. The family later moved to Dayton, Ohio where she attended school and graduated from Patterson Co-op before getting a job at General Motors. She was married to her husband Robert Donald Hoblit on May 16, 1959, and gave birth to their daughter in 1966. She retired from Delco Moraine after 35 years of service in 1984 and she and her husband retired to Jacksonville, NC. She enjoyed many outdoor activities to include fishing and camping as well as crafts of all kinds. She volunteered at the Jacksonville DAV and was a life member of VFW 9133 in the Auxiliary. She and was very busy helping out there for many years. For the past several years she and her husband have enjoyed spending Sundays there playing shuffleboard. Surviving are her husband Robert Donald Hoblit of the home, daughter Donna Howard (Mike) Howard and sister Rose (Jerry) Buckner and many nieces and nephews which she loved dearly. Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers Jack (Lou-deceased) Loffer, Jim (Pat-deceased) Loffer, Joe (Cynthia-surviving) Loffer, Tom (Sue-deceased) Loffer and sister Pat Bowling. She was a wonderful wife and mother who was full of love and kindness. She always had a song to sing, a smile to share and a joke to tell. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
