Suzanne J. (Grenon) Lanoue, resident of Whitinsville, Massachusetts, passed away on September 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 77. She was the devoted wife of the late Albert M. Lanoue who passed away in 1999. She was born January 23, 1948, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and daughter to the late Leo Grenon and Germaine (Harnois) Grenon. Suzanne's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, her love for her family, and her dedication to the many facets of her life that brought her joy.
Suzanne grew up in Millville, Massachusetts started and raised a family in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and later moved to Blackstone, Massachusetts where she created a life full of love and laughter. She brought this same warmth and joy to Whitinsville, Massachusetts, where she spent her final years. Suzanne was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Lisa A. Riccardelli and her husband Paul of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Roxanne M. Stratton and her husband Daniel of Douglas, Massachusetts. Her role as a grandmother to Justin Lanoue and Nicholas Riccardelli, and as a great-grandmother to Elliot Lanoue and Kiana Riccardelli, was one she cherished with her whole heart. Suzanne's love extended to her three brothers, Villa Grenon and wife Diane of Bellingham, Massachusetts, Ronald Grenon of Douglas, Massachusetts, and Gilbert Grenon of
Uxbridge, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Grenon.
Throughout her career in retail sales and warehousing, Suzanne worked for various companies, including, Nyanza, Zayers, Caldors, Data General and Strawberries. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care for others made her a beloved figure among her coworkers and customers alike.
Suzanne's interests were diverse and reflected her vibrant personality. An avid fan of all New England sports teams, she shared in the region's triumphs and heartaches with equal passion. Her hobbies included baking, which she often did for her loved ones, leaving a sweet legacy in the hearts of all who were fortunate to taste her creations. Suzanne also found joy in playing the lottery and scratch tickets, doing word finds and crocheting beautiful pieces that she generously gifted to friends and family, and indulging in her love for the iconic Betty Boop, a fondness that was well known among her circle.
But above all, Suzanne's greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The moments shared with them were the ones she treasured most, and her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on through them.
Visiting Hours will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 8:30-10:30 AM at the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main Street, Uxbridge, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM
Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Granite Street, Uxbridge.
