Suzanne Meyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kain-Murphy Funeral Services - Haddonfield on Feb. 24, 2025.
"If I say I will, I will, and if I say I won't, I won't!"
Age: 81 of Cherry Hill, NJ. Formerly of Seven Lakes, West End, NC
Suzanne passed peacefully on January 29, 2025. She was the cherished sister of Barbara T. (Robert) Hilgen and Charles H. (Laraine) Thompson, cherished friend of Ann Page, and the loving aunt to Rebecca Bryan, Sharon Willis, Robert H. Hilgen, Sally Hilgen, Elizabeth Wyckoff, Gregory Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Charles R. Thompson II, and 14 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. and Dorothy (nee Besecker) Thompson, her brother, Robert E. Thompson, and sisters-in-law Nancy (nee Mills) Thompson and Barbara (nee Cohen) Thompson.
Suzanne was born and raised in a military family and grew up with many cross-country adventures. She graduated from high school in Beaufort, SC and started her secretarial career in Kalamazoo Michigan. She finished her career as the private secretary for the director of human resources at the FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC where she worked for 25 years.
Suzanne was a gourmet cook, avid reader, and loved family and friend visits on Echo lake. She adored her Westies, Sophie, Cricket, and Pork Chop and was the amazing "Aunt Suzy," showering her nieces and nephews with Christmas presents, kid party food, and North Carolina pottery.
Services for Suzanne will be held privately by the family on a later date. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Suzanne's name may be made to Westie Rescue USA.

We loved Suzanne and were fortunate enough to have been invited for dinner at her home...a gourmet cook is an understatement.....she was fun and comfortable to be around...and we were also fortunate to meet her dad Charlie...who was just lovable as Suzanne....Condolences to her family....Dennis & Jackie Balas
