Suzanne Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brenham Memorial Chapel on Dec. 12, 2025.
Suzanne Miller was born in 1945 in San Antonio, Texas, to Marvin and Willie Mae Rode Niebuhr. After graduating from high school and college, she began her career at Lackland Air Force Base and later joined NASA, contributing to the Houston Space Program from the 1960s through the 1980s.
Suzanne met the love of her life, Pete Miller, at a dance hall, and they were married a year later on October 17, 1964. She cherished their life together and especially loved hosting dinners for family and friends. The pair settled in Brenham, where she worked for the Social Security Administration before completing the Licensed Vocational Nurse program at Blinn College and beginning a second career as a nurse.
Suzanne adored her rescue dogs throughout her life and wrote, "They gave me more than I gave them. When you see an opportunity to help all animals, great and small, be kind."
Suzanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pete Miller. She is survived by her siblings, Marvin Lee Niebuhr and Judy Reese; niece, Dodie Miller; nephew, Mark Niebuhr and his wife, Rachel; great-nieces and nephews Jonathan Miller, Minta Dahmann, and Mattie Cole; and her cherished dog, Tina.
Suzanne treasured her years working with NASA, and we hope she is now among the stars she once looked up to and dreamed about.
"Looking back, it has been a wonderful life." - Suzanne Miller
Honoring her wishes, a private ceremony will be held at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Suzanne requested that donations be made in her honor to the animal rescue group of your choice.
