Suzanne Purdy, 85, of East Palestine, OH, gracefully departed this world on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a courageous six month cancer battle, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home.

Born on October 5, 1939, in Youngstown, OH, she was the cherished daughter of the late Richard and Helen Wilhelm Meanor. A proud graduate of East Palestine High School, Suzanne devoted many years to her passion for floral design, bringing beauty and joy to those around her. An inherently crafty spirit, Suzanne found joy in latch hooking, creating stunning rugs that reflected her creativity. She delighted in the thrill of the casino and had a soft spot for the timeless melodies of Frank Sinatra. Yet, above all, Suzanne treasured the moments spent with her family, radiating warmth and joy in every gathering. Her fun-loving and carefree nature was a beacon of light in the lives of those lucky enough to know her.

Suzanne leaves behind her devoted husband of 37 years, Jerry Purdy, whom she married on July 25, 1988. She will be profoundly missed by her two loving sisters: Patricia Elder (Joe) of East Palestine, OH and Lynda Rohrbaugh (Robert) of Wichita Falls, TX; her loving children: Pamala Wagner (Dale) of Morocco, IN; Cindy Bussard of Negley, OH; and Terri Lattanzio (Ralph) of East Palestine; as well as Sherry Arnold (Scott) of Ruidoso, NM; Michelle Shields (Chris) of Menifee, CA; Anne Marie Purdy of Joshua Tree, CA; and Steve Montgomery (Ceretha) of Floyd, NM. Her legacy also includes 24 grandchildren and numerous beloved great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her son, Ronald Cope, and Jerry Montgomery.

In accordance with Suzanne's wishes, there will be no formal services held. She is lovingly entrusted to the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel, where her spirit will continue to inspire those who carry her memory forward.
