Suzanne Quaresimo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by William H. Clark Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 5, 2026.
Suzanne Driebe Quaresimo, 87, of Stroudsburg, passed away on December 31, 2025 surrounded by her loving children. She was the wife of the late John C. Quaresimo with whom she shared 55 years of marriage prior to his death in 2018.

Born on July 9, 1938 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Sam & Elizabeth (McNamara) Driebe. Suzanne and her family moved when she was two-years old to South Stroudsburg where she lived for the rest of her life.

Suzanne was a 1955 graduate of Stroudsburg High School. She enjoyed her high school days, and often reminisced about twirling batons of fire, and being among the first girls to join the rifle club and to take shop classes. Her early jobs included working at Rea & Derrick's Drug Store and in Wycoff's Tea Room, both on Main Street in Stroudsburg.

She was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg where she worked diligently on several committees including the 1974 committee to pay off the church mortgage. She also was an active member of the Mother's Club of Notre Dame High School when her children attended high school there. She supported her husband as he operated DeVivo-Quaresimo & Sons Clothiers on Main Street in Stroudsburg, before retiring in 1993. At the store she added women's clothing and the Pappogalo Shop. After retiring from the store, she worked in the billing department of Pocono Medical Center.

Suzanne loved her family, and would light up when she was able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was passionate about reading and Long Beach Island, and was an avid Yankees fan.

She is survived by her six children, Richard Keller and his wife Delilah of Sarasota, Florida, Judith McDermott and her husband Christopher of Stroudsburg, Thomas Quaresimo, of Stroudsburg, Theresa Marcellus and her husband Joseph of Lake Ariel, Amy Spangler and her fiance Todd Matthews of Stroudsburg, and Paul Quaresimo of Stroudsburg; seven grandchildren, Tyler Keller, Nicole McDermott and her husband Robert Martin, Michael McDermott and his fiance Julia Calandra, Matthew McDermott, Marisa and Dominic Quaresimo, and Anna Ventrone and her husband Joseph; two great-grandchildren, JJ and Tommy Ventrone, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother James Driebe and her grandson Ian Keller.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to a charity of one's choosing.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg.
