Suzanne "Gigi" Sidone Schrecker, 85, of Louisville passed away peacefully with her loving son by her side on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville.
She was a proud graduate of Manual High School and throughout the years enjoyed working on class reunions. She enjoyed being with her friends in the houseboat gang, and loved working for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. She loved her family and lived her life for all of them, most especially welcoming her great granddaughter, Alora.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ninny; mother, Dixie "Gaga" Sherman Demuth; son, Jeffrey William Schrecker; grandson, Jonathan Henry Schrecker; and nephew, Jonathan Tichy.
She is survived by her son, Mike Schrecker (Jean); grandson, Michael Jonathan Schrecker (Kaylee); great granddaughter, Alora May Schrecker; sister, Dinah Tichy (Bob); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. John Paul II Church 3539 Goldsmith Lane with burial to follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery 2775 Deatsville Road, Coxs Creek, KY. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road.
