Suzanne "Suzy" Stanfill, 84, of Raton, New Mexico, passed away peacefully after spending her final year surrounded by care and kindness at Goodlife in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Born in Great Falls, Montana, Suzy pursued her studies in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, before marrying the love of her life, Tom Stanfill, in El Paso, Texas, on February 10, 1968.
Throughout her life, she poured her heart into her many talents - a gifted artist, an accomplished seamstress, and a wonderful cook whose kitchen was always filled with warmth and good food. Suzy's faith in God was a guiding light of her life. She was devoted to prayer, lifting up her family and countless others in love and encouragement. Her servant's heart, compassion, and willingness to help made her deeply cherished by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother George Morris and wife Gaye Lynn of Lake Arthur, New Mexico; sister Cathy Morris Huffmon and husband Dave of Kamiah, Idaho; brother Brad Morris and wife Janie of Lake Arthur, New Mexico; and brother Mark Morris and wife Sandra of Bay Minette, Alabama.
Suzy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her parents, Frank and Kathleen Morris; and siblings Gene Morris, Rocky Morris, and Debbie Hopkins Morris.
Her life was a testament to love, faith, and service. She will be missed beyond measure.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." Matthew 25: 23
