Suzanne Jones Stevenson, 82, of Snow Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born on April 9, 1942, Suzanne was the daughter of J. Franklin and Agnes Jones.
Suzanne devoted most of her professional life as a secretary, spending significant time with Snow Hill Grain and additionally with the Country House in Salisbury. Her passion for life was evident in her love for gardening, where she found joy in nurturing flowers and feeding the hummingbirds that frequented her garden. A cherished mother and grandmother, she took immense pride in her family, especially as a doting Granny to her grandchildren, Andrew Mason (Mary) and Ryan Mason (Heather), and her great-grandchild, Wyatt.
Suzanne will be warmly remembered for her unwavering faith, spending valuable time at Whatcoat Church, where she joyfully participated in the Opportunity Shop. She also cherished her moments shared over lunch dates with the ladies.
Suzanne is survived by her loving daughter, Teresa "Terri" Searing (Joe), and her siblings: Donald R. Jones (Nelda), John Franklin Jones, Jr. (Ann), and Patsy Jones Disharoon (Ronald). She was preceded in death by her beloved beagle, Annie, and her sister-in-law, Eileen Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, January 17, 2024 at Whatcoat Church, 100 W. Federal Street, Snow Hill MD 21863. The family will be available for visitation 30 minutes prior to.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Whatcoat Church Opportunity Shop, a cause that was dear to Suzanne's heart.
