Suzanne Wehner Obituary

Suzanne Lee Wehner, always known as "Sue", passed away October 30,2023 at North Okaloosa Medical Center. Sue was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin to Leo and Lorayne Prasser. She attended catholic school in Milwaukee; after her graduation she enrolled at Mount Mary University. From there she received her degree in occupational therapy. Her life work was assisting the physically and mentally disabled in improving their lives over the course of her thirty-year career with Milwaukee County. She moved to Fort Walton Beach for her semi-retirement to work for Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in their occupational therapy department before fully retiring in 2007. In her free time, she volunteered at Florosa Elementary school mentoring young students there.
Sue did not have children of her own, instead she had many rescued furry children during her lifetime. Sue's furry children were the luckiest cats receiving love and care beyond measures. She believed in helping the less fortunate and was generous to many charities. One of Sue's requests is for anyone who wishes to honor her, to donate to the Panhandle Animal Welfare or Save Our Cats & Kittens. Or better yet, give a deserving animal from a shelter a loving home.
On Monday, November 6, 2023, at 1:00pm, committal prayers will be prayed for Sue at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, 7301 West Nash Street, Milwaukee, WI 53216, followed by her being laid to rest next to her parents. May the peace of God be with her always.
