Sybil Affong Obituary
Sybil Martha Affong (née Achille)
Sybil Martha Affong peacefully went “home” on Thursday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 98.
Born on September 15, 1926, Sybil was married to the late Stephen Affong. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
She was the proud mother of seven daughters: June, Nevis, Stella, Olive (deceased), Sheril, Charmaine, and Hazel. Cherished grandmother of Nolan, Jeffrey, Jason, Kevin, Cornelius Jr., Jiselle, Richard, and Dominique. Beloved great-grandmother of 18.
Sybil lived most of her life in Trinidad before migrating to Cambridge, MA. Despite the challenges of losing her eyesight and mobility, she remained a fun, lively spirit who loved her soaps, basketball, football, reality shows, and game shows.
Her long life was blessed with wonderful experiences, a loving family, dear friends, and compassionate caregivers—especially Stella and Charmaine. She truly embodied the adage of a life well lived.
A Funeral Mass will be held in her honor on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, Revere.
