Sybil Fisher

Sybil Fisher, age 77, of Dobbinsville, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Cleveland Pines in Shelby.

Sybil was born Sunday, August 25, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Preston Pitts and Jenny Hollifield Pitts.  She was a graduate of Chase High School and worked in textiles most of her life. Sybil was a faithful member of High Shoal Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed working on flower arrangements and doing crafts. Sybil had a deep appreciation and love for all animals, especially her pets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joann Smart, Ann Laura Bass, Cophelia Frazier; brothers, Bill Pitts, Dewey Pitts and her beloved niece, Betty Nichols.

Those left to treasure her memory include her nieces, Rhonda Byers (Randy) of Dobbinsville, Robin Dobbins (Bruce) of Dobbinsville, Susan Simons (Steve) of Smith Station, Alabama; nephews, Randy Bass (Sharon) of Smith Station, AL, Greg Bass (Lori) of Smith Station, AL, Jimmy Smart (Renee) of Mooresboro, Johnny Frazier (Ann)  and Jeff Frazier (Karen) all of Henrietta.

 A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at High Shoal Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church. A committal service will be held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery following the visitation.
